After 3 nights at Pointed  Rock, we made tracks for Organ Pipe.  We have reservations for 2 weeks here.   We stayed longer at Pointed Rock than planned because of high winds.  Not good for driving a high top vehicle.  One day we flew kites in the wind, but the second day of wind we kept the kites inside.  They would have been ripped from our hands and sailed far away!

Organ Pipe is a nicely developed campground with lush desert plantings all over and solar showers.  So far, that means a cold shower.  The rangers give talks in the outdoor amphitheater in the evenings.  Last night the topic was mountain lions ( yes, they have some here).  Tonight the topic is the Night Sky.
