Tuesday, August 23

Today the Fish and Game people came to the campground and released a bunch of trout into the river.  Dave took a lot of pictures.  

Wednesday August 24–Tuesday, August 30

Drove away from the mountains and into Oakdale.  Got a room there for Wednesday night, then joined our kids at an AirBnb in Riverbank for Thursday night.    So good to see everyone.  Went to Escalon for Friday’s graveside service, then Manteca for brunch.  So many little cousins!  

Left Manteca and went back up into the Sierra with Rory and Thomas  Camped at Brightman Flat Campground beside the Stanislaus River for two nights .  Great spot for wading and swimming. 

On Monday, August 29, drove across Nevada to Wendover.  Slept out in the desert.

Tuesday, August 30, Driving into Salt Lake City.  Will get a room.  Visitation and family dinner tonight for Harry McAnally, Dave’s great uncle and godfather.  Service tomorrow.
