Van Issues

Dave has put something in the gas tank that will eventually clean out the fuel injectors.  Since then, the engine is running smoothly.  However, the speedometer stopped working, so back to the Ford garage.  We are beginning to wonder if Morrison has crossed the line into costing too much in repairs.   We really don’t want to take on a new vehicle monthly payment, though, so just wondering at this point.  Right now we are waiting for parts—a new instrument panel—which will be here in a few days.

Since August we have changed our vehicle title to Colorado, got Morrison smogged, got Colorado license plates, got Colorado drivers licenses, renewed our passports,   changed our address on a myriad of online accounts, did our mail-in ballots, and gotten an appointment with a new pulmonologist.  So many details, but beginning to feel settled.  Once Morrison is fixed up, we will take a short trip west on I-70 to appreciate the fall foliage, take a week-long trip into Wyoming for Independence Rock, Devils Tower, the Grand Tetons, etc..  we also want to travel into Kansas again, visit the Howard cemetery, and hike once more  in the Tall Grass Prairie before Thanksgiving.  Traveling anywhere for Thanksgiving or Christmas is a big question mark right now, we’re not sure what the weather here on the eastern edge of the Colorado Front Range will be like.  I imagine there are a lot of interesting museums in Denver that we could visit.  We would like to return to Tumacacori, Arizona, the first weekend in December.  They have a special day then to celebrate the culture of the area with dance groups and food.
